NEWA is required, under the NSW Biosecurity Act 2015, to provide notification to residents and the community about their use of pesticides in public areas, specifically roadsides as a Pesticide Notification.
NEWA also carry out enforcement on landholders to treat Weeds. These enforcement rules are documented in the Compliance and Enforcement Policy.
NEWA operates under the Armidale Regional, Walcha and Uralla LGA regions only.
