Weed Spray Operator – Permanent, full-time position

Reporting to the Team Leader Weed Control, this position is responsible for working collaboratively within the Weed Spray Team and with the Biosecurity Team to deliver high-level site-specific chemical application for the control of weeds for the Region.

About you

You will be someone who thrives working in a physically demanding outdoor role. You enjoy working in a close-knit team and have good interpersonal and communication skills. You always have safety at front of mind, can identify hazards and you are not a risk taker. We are seeking someone who takes pride in doing a great job and wants to contribute to ensure NEWA meets community, customer, landholder and member council expectations.

Here’s what we’re offering

  • A competitive salary ranging from $1044.24 per week to $1197.55 per week;
    plus 11% superannuation;
  • 38 ordinary hours per week;
  • 9-day fortnight;
